Under Wood Heating and Under Laminate Heating Foil System.
Under Wood Heating foil mats are ideal for use in any room including bathrooms and even wet areas. The heat mats can be cut and turned leaving the wire uncut. To achieve the required floor coverage and multiple mats can be joined together to cover large areas. When fitting underfloor heating a suitable insulation should always be used. Especially over concrete sub floors as they absorb heat in seconds and the insulation layer bounces the heat straight up into your room. The insulation will not only increase the response rate but also help maintain a highly efficient underfloor heating system.
Underfloor Heating Foil
With a response rate of less the 15 minutes, assuming insulation has been laid. The 150w/m2 Underfloor heating Foil system makes an ideal primary heating source. With no expensive central heating system installation and maintenance. The 150w Foil comes with a 15-year guarantee and has no moving parts to it, hence once laid it can be thought of as any electrical cable running behind your wall currently.

Under Wood Heating Foil Mat Floor Build Up
Starting at the sub floor which can be either a wood or concrete sub straight. The following layer will be the impact plus insulation. Creating a base to lay your underfloor heating foil mats as well as insulating the impact plus also protects the heating from any sharp or pointed objects from the sub floor. Once your insulation is laid the foil heat mats can be laid directly onto the insulation. The wood or laminate floor covering can then go straight onto, the heat foil mats.
So, in conclusion, the floor will be raised dependent on a few variables.
- 6mm impact plus insulation.
- 2.5mm Underfloor Heating foil mats.
- Wood or laminate in this example 10mm.
Making a total additional floor height of 18.5mm dependent on chosen variables of insulation and tile heights.
